Characterized by expansive skies and picturesque fields, Upper Pittsgrove Township is one of the premier agricultural municipalities in all of New Jersey. Stretching across 40.5 square miles of almost entirely prime farmlandโwith less than half a percent dedicated to waterโthe township offers a quiet, stable lifestyle for its roughly 3,400 residents, experiencing only a minor population shift over the last decade. It remains fiercely dedicated to a proud farming lifestyle that has sustained the region for generations.
Upper Pittsgrove’s history is inextricably linked to the soil, defined by centuries of uninterrupted, multi-generational farming. This deep agrarian heritage has successfully preserved the townshipโs wide-open vistas and insulated it from heavy industrial development.
Beyond its vast traditional farms, the township is uniquely home to local polo grounds, adding a distinct equestrian flair to the community. Life here is peaceful and panoramic, defined by rolling agricultural landscapes and a deeply rooted respect for the land.
