Salem County, NJ has a rich history and an abundant amount of fresh water lakes and ponds both man-made and natural (some a mix of both like Cobb’s Mill which had the lowest temperature water in South Jersey). From Layton’s Lake in Carneys Point to Maskells Mill in LAC, Thundergust in Pittsgrove Twp., Thundergut in Alloway… we have a bunch of them and all have their own unique stories and history.
We have shared old articles of the lakes including Cobb’s Mill, Alloway Lake, Bostwick Lake, Laurel Lake (Quinton Lake), Daretown Lake, and have a few more coming.
You can read some of the current lakes that we have already published by visiting here.
