Joan Marie Moore

July 17, 1943 - August 8, 2026

Services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026 at the Pittsgrove Baptist Church, 368 Daretown Road, Elmer, NJ 08318. There will be a visitation starting at 9:30 AM leading to the funeral service at 11 AM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Joan’s memory to the Pittsgrove Baptist Church Building Fund, 368 Daretown Road, Elmer, NJ 08318 or to a charity of one’s choosing. Joan Marie Moore, 86, of Monroeville, NJ passed away on August 8, 2026. Born in Bridgeton to the late William Shimp Guth and Reva Mae (Rathbone) Guth, she was raised in Woodstown and was a 1958 graduate of Woodstown High School. Over her career, she worked as a Pharmacy Tech for Sayre Pharmacy and a Medical Receptionist for Elmer Family Practice, both in Elmer.

Joan was an active member of the Pittsgrove Baptist Church in Daretown, teaching Sunday School and VBS among many other things. She enjoyed singing and reading in her early years, cross-stitching and needlepoint, was an avid fan of the Eagles and the Phillies and loved going to all the family functions, sporting events and recitals.

Joan is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Jack C. Moore; her daughters Joanne Tice and her husband Barry, Janet Rock, and Jayne Melancon and her husband Ted; her grandchildren Brittany, Cody (Jessica), Kyle (Jess), Tabitha (Zack), Ian (Jillian), Teddy (Gabby) and Lexy (Doug); her great grandchildren Katarina, Leo, Maeva, Brynnlee and Braxton; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother John Arthur Guth, her son in law Rob Rock and her great granddaughter Jaelynn.
