Services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098. There will be a visitation starting at 10 AM leading to the funeral service at 11 AM. Interment will follow the service at Lawnside Cemetery in Pilesgrove, NJ. Richard H. Blum, 84, of Daretown, NJ passed away on April 5, 2026. Born and raised in Woodstown, NJ, Richard was the son of the late Henry Blum and Edna Blum Armstrong. He was a 1960 graduate of Woodstown High School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964, stationed in Albuquerque, NM. In 1970, Richard moved his family to Daretown. Richard was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Woodstown and a Life Member of the Daretown Fire Company for 54 years.
Richard worked as a First Class Inspector at DuPont Chambers Works starting in 1966 and retiring in 1998. He then went on to work as a Runner for 17 years for the Woodstown National Bank and Trust, which became The Bank. Richard enjoyed playing golf, watching NASCAR, anything to do with Clemson sports, the Dallas Cowboys, and watching his granddaughter play softball and dance.
Richard is survived by his sons, Scott Blum and Mike Blum and his wife Linda; his granddaughter Courtney Blum; his brothers-in-law John Hall and Kenneth DuBois; his sister-in-law Ricky Green; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Eileen M. Blum, his siblings Rodney Green and Jeannie DuBois, his sisters-in-law Brenda Hall and Sandra Dorrell and his brother-in-law Robert Dorrell.
