SALEM CITY – On Tuesday August 4th a few hundred people (at least) showed up early in the humid and hot evening to gather for Salem City’s 2026 National Night Out. The event was put on by L.E.A.D. (Law Enforcement Against Drugs & Violence), Salem City Police, The Alliance to Prevent Alcoholism and Drug Abuse and the City of Salem.
There was a DJ, corn hole, giveaways, free food, waterslide, bouncy house, plenty of vendors, public officials, and tons of kids and families. It was great to see the youth and adults out gathered together as a community.
