Shaping the Future of South Jersey Transportation
That’s why the South Jersey Transportation Planning Organization (SJTPO), in partnership with the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC), is inviting residents to participate in the South Jersey Household Travel Survey.
Conducted only about once every 10 years, this regional study helps transportation planners better understand how people travel throughout Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, and Salem counties. The information collected will help guide future investments in roads, bridges, intersections, sidewalks, bicycle facilities, and public transit, ensuring our transportation network continues to meet the needs of local communities for years to come.
What to Expect from the Survey
The survey isn’t looking for perfect schedules or extraordinary adventures. In fact, your typical day is exactly what planners want to learn about. Whether you drive, walk, bike, ride public transit, work from home, or mostly stay close to home, your travel patterns are an important part of the bigger picture.
How to Participate
Participating is simple. Qualifying households will answer a few questions and record one typical day of travel. Participants can choose the optional smartphone app, complete the survey online, or work with the survey team by phone.
Earn a Reward
As a thank-you for participating, qualifying households that complete the survey will receive a gift card valued between $15 and $70, depending upon the mode of participation.
