Beulah Anderson Willard, 96, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on May 9, 2026. A faithful Christian and devoted servant of Christ, Beulah lived a life marked by love, service, generosity, and steadfast faith.
Born on March 12, 1930, in her family’s farmhouse in Smolan, Kansas. Beulah was the daughter of Axel and Elin Anderson. She graduated from Bethany College and began her career teaching in a one-room schoolhouse, a role that reflected her lifelong love of learning and caring for others.
Beulah faithfully served both her church and community throughout her life. She was active on the church mission board as well as the American Baptist Woman serving as the White Cross coordinator for the state of New Jersey. She also worked as the church custodian, supported Habitat ministries, participated in Contact ministries, and served, with her husband, as a missionary ambassador at Bacone College in Oklahoma. She and her husband sponsored many Vietnamese families as they established new lives in the United States. In addition, she worked for Snelbaker Home for many years.
Beulah found joy in the simple and meaningful things of life. She had a true green thumb and loved gardening. She also enjoyed doing puzzles, playing games, and spending cherished time with family and friends. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering faith touched the lives of many.
She is survived by her children, Daniel (Vicki) Willard, Ransom (Debbie) Willard, Karen (Ken) Wilkinson, Steven (Margaret) Willard, and Nathan (Tracy) Willard; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Stanley Willard; her parents, Axel and Elin Anderson; her sisters, Dagmar Johnson and Geneva Erickson; her brothers, Evert and Kenneth Anderson; and her grandson, Steven Willard.
Beulah’s life was a beautiful testimony of faith, compassion, and service. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
