Bi-Weekly Police Blotter: Salem City Arrest Records for April 1st to April 15th, 2026

The Salem Police Department crime log for the beginning of April includes 11 total incidents, with a number of burglary and trespassing offenses. Beyond those, the log includes charges for simple assault, theft, and warrant-related arrests.

The most significant multi-charge incident involved three juvenile offenders โ€” ages 13, 14, and 15 โ€” all arrested together on April 7th in connection with the same incident. Each juvenile faces charges of Burglary (Entering a Structure), Criminal Mischief, Conspiracy, and Obstruction of a Government Function.

An incident on April 9th resulted in trespassing-related charges. Earl W. Fritchey III, 55, of Pilesgrove was charged with Defiant Trespass, while Chris S. Land, 54, of Leesburg was charged with Criminal Trespass โ€” Unlicensed Entry of Structures. Both arrests stemmed from the same related incident. Another juvenile was also arrested on April 13th for Criminal Trespass.

On 04/06/2026 at 10:34pm, Salem Police arrested Jami L. Simpson, 38/Female of Carneys Point, for the following charges: Criminal Trespass โ€” Defiant Trespasser.

On 04/07/2026 at 2:08pm, Salem Police arrested a Male Juvenile Offender, 14, for the following charges: Burglary โ€” Entering Structure with Intent to Inflict/Attempt Bodily Injury (Armed); Criminal Mischief; Conspiracy โ€” Agree/Engage in Conduct Constituting a Crime; Obstruct Administration of Law/Government Function.
