Linda Lee Smith (Kite), age 78, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, in Carneys Point, New Jersey. Born on February 15, 1948, in Salem, New Jersey.

Linda was a proud graduate of Salem High School and later earned her beautician certification from Salem Community College. She built a life filled with warmth and kindness and was happiest when surrounded by her family. Linda will always be remembered for her infectious laugh and her remarkable ability to light up any room she entered.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leon Smith; her daughter, Larissa Mumink; her parents, Carmen and Catherine Cafaro; her brother, Quinn Kite and his wife Shirley; and her sister, Judith Bradford.

Linda is survived by her children, Katherine Plale and Lawrence Plale; her sister, Sissy Lapalomento and her husband Ronald; her brother-in-law, Skip Bradford; her cherished grandchildren: Robert Plale, Paige Mumink, Stone Mumink, Darryl Lawless, Chase Russell, Mike Miller, and Kevin Plale; and her great-grandchildren: Atlas, Lance, and Tristen Lawless.

Linda’s presence brought joy and comfort to those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
