In Loving Memory of

Barbara Watkins-Lopez

June 12, 1964 — March 4, 2026

Barbara Watkins-Lopez, age 61, of Woodstown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

Barbara was born on June 12, 1964, in Woodbury, New Jersey. Though she never sought the spotlight and often stepped away from the camera, her quiet presence left a lasting imprint on the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Barbara’s life was defined by love, humility, and a deep devotion to family. She carried a gentle spirit and a generous heart, often placing the needs of others before her own. While she sometimes worried about what others might think, those who loved her knew the truth of who she was kind, thoughtful, and endlessly caring.

Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a proud and loving mother to her children, Joseph Busch (Leanne), Sarah Busch, and Steven Busch (Victoria), and a caring stepmother to Devon Bryson (Chris), Jeri Clegg (Richard), and Gregory Lopez (Emily).

Her love expanded even further through her cherished grandchildren, Owen Bryson, Andrew Clegg, Nicholas Clegg, Chloe Lopez, Evan Lopez, and Jordana Busch, along with a great blessing soon to arrive, Baby Busch, expected March 25, 2026. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and nothing made her happier than seeing them smile.

Barbara is also survived by her loving mother, Alfrieda Leone, and her brothers, Michael Watkins and David Watkins.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Deven Lopez, and her father, Lloyd Watkins.

Outside of her family, Barbara found peace and happiness in life’s simple beauties. She loved gardening, tending to living things with patience and care. She expressed herself through baking and art, creating warmth and beauty for those around her. She loved the beach and the quiet rhythm of the waves, which brought calm to her soul.

Though she often stood quietly in the background, Barbara’s love was never quiet. It lived in the meals she prepared, the gardens she nurtured, the art she created, and the countless small acts of kindness she gave without expecting recognition.

Her legacy will not be measured in grand gestures, but in the love she planted in the hearts of her children, her grandchildren, and everyone fortunate enough to be part of her life. Like the gardens she tended so carefully, that love will continue to grow long after her passing.

And though Barbara may have avoided the camera, her life will never fade from view in the hearts of those who loved her. She lives on in every flower that blooms in the gardens she once cared for, in the laughter of her grandchildren, and in the quiet strength she passed down to her family.

The love she gave so freely will echo through generations, a reminder that the most beautiful lives are often the ones lived gently, with kindness, humility, and unwavering devotion to those we hold closest.

In the quiet spaces of our lives, in gardens yet to bloom and waves yet to touch the shore, we will find her again.

Our mother will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of her family.
