Traffic Stop Escalates to Eight Charges in Carneys Point Arrest Log
CARNEYS POINT, NJ — The Carneys Point Twp. Police Department, under Chief Dale Vannamee, reported nine arrests between June 22 and July 13, according to the department’s weekly arrest summaries. Warrant arrests remained the most common entry in the log, accounting for five of the nine cases, while the period’s other arrests ranged from a single DUI stop to a defiant trespass charge. The most unusual case came on July 7, when a routine traffic stop led to eight separate charges against one driver, including resisting arrest and obstructing government administration — a level of escalation not often noticed or seen by the public without a tragic ending. No juveniles were arrested during the three-week span in Carneys Point Twp.
