A celebration of Mick’s life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 25th in the H.T. Layton Funeral Home, 102 S. Main St., Woodstown, where friends are invited from 10 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow the funeral service in Pedricktown Baptist Cemetery. After burial, a luncheon will take place in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church of Pedricktown. William James “Mickey” McBride, age 82 of Pedricktown, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, after a long illness.

Mick was born on February 14, 1944 in Salem, NJ. He was the son of the late William F. & Elizabeth (Asher) McBride. He served in the US Marine Corps for four years then with the US Army for twelve years. During that time, he served in many capacities, saw many countries, and endured three tours to Vietnam, earning many decorations and commendations. After his military service, he came home and worked many different jobs from painting towers and bridges to long distance trucking, seeing the United States. He enjoyed helping local farmers, scrapping metal, and being a friend to many. He loved riding his Harleys and taking road trips around America with his family and friends.

Mick is survived by his sister, Susan J. (McBride) Borek; his nephew, James M. & wife, Sara Borek; his niece, Katherine & husband, Jeff Pompper, and their children, Dennis and Holly; and his many cousins and many friends.
