Patricia E. Smith

Patricia E. Smith, 81, of Pennsville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026.

Born on October 30, 1944, Patricia was the daughter of the late William D. Baevsky and Marie (Wilde) Baevsky.

Patricia is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Robert E. Smith, Jr.; her three sons, Frank (Mindy), Mike (Lynanne), and Marc (Kristin); and her seven beloved grandchildren: Alex Smith-Curry (Dawn), Jake (Kendall), Jessica Lapp (Joe), Mitchell (Mackenzie), Allison Weber (Ben), Jenna (Zach), and Michael (Val). She was also the proud great-grandmother of five: Dax and Trey Curry-Smith, Joey and Jackson Lapp, and Brynlee Smith.

Patricia dedicated many years to her family as a loving stay-at-home mother. She rarely missed one of her sons’ sporting events or wrestling matches and could always be found cheering them on from the sidelines. Later in life, she held several temporary positions before working for a time with the Pennsville Visiting Nurses.

An avid reader and passionate book collector, Patricia especially enjoyed cookbooks by Mario Batali and Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa. She found great joy in reading, cooking, and spending time with those she loved.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Ennoble Care and Rhonda for the compassionate medical care provided to Patricia. They also wish to express their sincere appreciation to her aide, Marylou, whose kindness, love, and dedicated care brought comfort to Patricia and her family.

Patricia will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her quiet strength, and the care she gave so freely to those around her. She will be deeply missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
