Mark R. Gross

December 29, 1958 - October 13, 2026

Family and friends are invited to gather at Laughrey Funeral Home, One North Broadway, Pennsville, New Jersey, on Friday, October 23, with calling hours from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Mark R. Gross, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 13, 2026. Born on December 29, 1958, in Rock Island, Illinois, Mark grew up in Pennsville, New Jersey, where he built a lifetime of friendships and lasting memories. He graduated from Pennsville Memorial High School in 1977 and received his bachelors from Rutgers and Masters from Wilmington University.

Mark retired from PSEG nuclear plant after 31 years of dedicated service. Following his retirement, he continued working at Chalmers and Kubeck until February 2026.

Mark loved flying, boating and dining with family and friends. He was also known to sit on a bar stool and make those around him his family. He enjoyed sharing stories and laughter, and his loyal friendship meant so much to those who knew him.

Mark is survived by his daughter, Rachel Chase (Madison); his mother, Jean Gross (Van Den Hende); his siblings, Kevin Gross (MaryAnn), Julie Acton (John), Troy Gross, and Terese Welch (Chris); and his two grandchildren, Jack and Paisley. He was predeceased by his father, Virgil Gross.
