Judith Lee Flynn, affectionately known as Judy, passed away on July 5, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 79 years old. Born on August 7, 1946, in Plainfield, New Jersey, Judy was the beloved daughter of the late Edward H. Mobus and Roberta S. Mobus. She spent most of her life in Pittsgrove, New Jersey, before recently moving to Stow Creek to live with her daughter and son-in-law, where she spent her final days surrounded by unwavering love, comfort, and support. Judy was a proud graduate of Glassboro State College, Class of 1968. In 1969, she began what would become a remarkable 36-year career as a special education teacher in the Vineland Public School District, retiring in 2004. She taught trainable and severely handicapped students during a time when her classroom was one of the few programs available in the area. Because her students often remained with her for several years, they became much more than pupils; they became like her own children. Judy loved every one of them wholeheartedly, and they forever held a special place in her heart. Her compassion, patience, and unwavering belief in every child’s potential left an immeasurable impact on countless families. In December of 1967, Judy met the love of her life, W. Daniel “Danny” Flynn. It was love at first sight. Four months later they were engaged, and one year after they met, they were married, beginning a devoted partnership filled with love, laughter, and family. Together they built a life centered around caring for others and creating lasting memories. Judy was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. She loved entertaining, hosting parties, and bringing people together. Her friends were never โ€œjust friendsโ€, they became her chosen family. She possessed an extraordinary gift for making people feel remembered and loved. She never missed a birthday, anniversary, holiday, or special occasion, faithfully sending cards to everyone she cared about. She remembered the smallest details of each person’s life and celebrated every milestone with genuine joy. Her thoughtful cards, kind words, and generous heart touched countless lives, and this beautiful tradition will be missed beyond measure. She also loved the music of the 1950s and 1960s, especially Elvis Presley. Whether chatting on the phone with loved ones, visiting with friends and family, or quietly completing a Word Search puzzle while music filled the room, Judy found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. Judy is reunited in Heaven with those she loved most: her beloved husband, W. Daniel Flynn, who passed away on May 26, 2020; her cherished son, Kyle Edward Flynn, who passed away on March 25, 2023; her parents, Edward H. Mobus (July 24, 2008) and Roberta S. Mobus (May 7, 2013); and her sister, Elizabeth Sue Merrick (January 24, 2023). She leaves behind her loving daughter, Heather Massing, and son-in-law, Michael Massing; her treasured granddaughter, Kayla Massing; her adored grand-fur baby, Bean; many belovedโ€‹ cousins from both the Mobus and Flynn families; and countless friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness and unwavering friendship. Among those mourning her loss is her lifelong best friend, Alice Richardson (nee Durant). Their friendship began in the second grade and endured for more than seven decades as a rare and beautiful bond that Judy treasured throughout her life. Judy’s legacy is one of unconditional love, compassion, generosity, and service. She dedicated her life to caring for her family, her students, and everyone fortunate enough to know her. She made people feel important, remembered, and deeply loved which is a gift that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the many caregivers, hospice team members, friends, and loved ones who surrounded Judy with compassion, dignity, and love throughout her final journey. A private celebration of Judy’s life will be held at a later date. Please share memories and condolences atย www.adamsfuneralhome.org. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages everyone to honor Judy in the way she so often honored others: send a card, make a phone call, visit someone you love, or simply let someone know they are remembered. There is no greater tribute to the life she lived. Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever in our hearts.
