Friends and family may pay their respects at the Pennsville Assembly of God Church, 328 N Broadway, Pennsville, NJ 08070, on Tuesday, September 8th, beginning at 9:30 AM, followed by a memorial service celebrating Collins’s life at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow immediately at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery, 719 NJ-45, Pilesgrove, NJ 08069.
Collins Allen Patrick, Jr., age 77, of Pennsville, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on August 27, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. While he considered himself a lucky man on this side of eternity, he was genuinely eager to meet his Creator on the other side. A cornerstone of his family, Collins was deeply loved and respected, leaving behind a lasting legacy of hard work, humor, and faith.
A resident of Pennsville since 1976, Collins was born on December 4, 1948, to Collins Allen Patrick, Sr. and Marion Haskett Patrick of Quinton, NJ. He spent his early life on his family farm, learning practical skills and getting into plenty of trouble. After graduating from Salem High School in 1967, Collins honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1968 to 1971, reaching the rank of Sergeant while stationed in Thailand.
Collins worked for Campbell’s Plumbing in Salem for many years before stepping out on his own in September of 1994 to establish Collins Patrick Mechanical Contractor, which he and his wife, Bonnie, successfully operated for 25 years. Known throughout the community for his honesty and reliability, Collins was a respected local tradesman who formed deep, lifelong relationships with fellow contractors, business owners, and members of the community.
For years, Collins was an enthusiastic member of the Quinton Sportsmen’s Club and Oxford Gun Club. He was well known for his playful competitive spirit. He had a sharp mind for history and politics, held strong convictions, and never hesitated to share them. Above all else, though, his heart belonged to Christ. He shared his faith generously, serving as a Sunday school teacher for years and later hosting a men’s Bible study in his home.
Collins is survived by his beloved wife, Bonnie; his children, Lynn (Bryan) Bailey, John (Scott) Patrick, and Mary (Aaron) Fiordimondo; his grandchildren, Curtis Bailey, Julia (Michael) Bailey, Isaac Bailey, Olivia Fiordimondo, and Collins Fiordimondo; and his great-granddaughter, Amelia Barahona-Bailey. He also leaves behind his sisters, Helen (James) Acton and Mary (Robert) Patrick, as well as a large extended family and a wealth of cherished friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Collins’s honor to the Pennsville Assembly of God Church.
