A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 19th 2026 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, at the Hancock Bridge Fire House, 15 Maple Ave., Hancock’s Bridge, NJ 08038.
Raymond E. Pompper, age 81, of Lower Alloway’s Creek passed away Monday, June 8, 2026 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland, NJ.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Isaac and Margaret Boggs Pompper. Raymond was known as the “Baler Man” for over 50 years. He specialized in repairing balers however Raymond worked on all farm equipment as well. Before his retirement, Raymond was a bus driver for B.R. Williams Transportation of Woodstown for 15 years. He was a member of the LAC Fire Department, LAC Rescue Squad, the Quinton Gun Club and a life member of the NRA. He enjoyed snowmobiling and four wheeling. He was also a former employee of the Bridgeport Speedway.
Raymond is survived by his wife the former, Wanda Rishel; his son, Paul Sanderlin (Kathy) of LAC; his daughter, Vicki Watson (James) of Quinton; his grandchildren, Paul (Amanda) and Ashley; nieces, Stephanie and Rhonda; and family friend, Jill Sanderlin. He is predeceased by his sister, Patsy Atkinson.
