Nathan Harris, age 60 of Elmer, died Friday, March 6, 2026, in Cooper Hospital in Cape May Court House.
Nate was born in Elmer, the son of the late Earl W. and Marie (Hannold) Harris and he lived on the family farm in Elmer all of his life. He was a 1984 graduate of Woodstown High School, and he worked on the family’s dairy farm throughout his childhood. After graduation, he worked on his aunt and uncle’s farm for a few years before working for Spring Brook Farms in Elmer for over 35 years.
Nate enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved animals, especially dogs, and he had a special place in his heart for his dogs, Roxy, Annabelle, and Albert. He was always known as a hard worker, and his passion was the family farm where he milked cows, baled hay, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the cabin at the pond. He also enjoyed the Bridgeport Speedway, NASCAR racing, and the Green Bay Packers.
Nate is survived by his sister, Joann (Harris) Endicott; his son, Gary Nathan Harris (Shane Marie); his daughter, Lauren Ashley Harris (John Fitzpatrick); and his lifelong friend, Lori “Vern” McCoy. He was ‘Papaw” to his four grandsons, Kash Ryland, Trent Tewes, Tucker Fitzpatrick, and Knox Nathan Harris; and his one and only granddaughter and the love of his life, Kota Marie Harris. He is also survived by his nephew, Christopher Endicott (Mattie); his niece, Ashleigh Dunlevy (Sean); four great-nieces, Lacey Jo Dunlevy, Brooklyn Rae Dunlevy, Veronica Danielle “Dani” Endicott, and Jovi Ann Endicott; his great-nephew, Carson Dunlevy; and his many close, lifelong friends.
