Florence (Glaspey) Turner

Services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 27th, 2026 at WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Rd., Salem, NJ 08079 (located in Quinton Twp.) where family and friends may visit from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Canton Baptist Cemetery, 700 Smick Rd., Salem, NJ 08079. The family requested donations in Florence’s memory to the Canton Baptist Church, 700 Smick Rd., Salem, NJ 08079.

Florence Turner, age 88, of Lower Alloway’s Creek, NJ passed away Thursday, August 20th 2026 at Merion Gardens, Carneys Point, NJ.

Born in Bridgeton, she is the daughter of the late Lewis F. and Harriet Donaldson Glaspey. Before her retirement, Florence was the secretary for the LAC School. She received an Associates Degree from Salem Community College. Florence was a member of the LAC Ruritan and she enjoyed crocheting.

Florence is survived by her sons, David Turner (Jennifer) of LAC and Mark Turner (Pamela) of Daykin, Nebraska; son-in-law, Dave Baumgardner of FL; sister, Kathleen Hendrix (Scott) of Shiloh; sister-in-law Prudence Glaspey; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Florence is predeceased by her husband, Norman E. Turner; her daughter, Barbara Baumgardner; brother, George Glaspey; sister, Marion Woolbert and brother-in-law Clarence Woolbert.
