Elizabeth Newcomber Gahart

Elizabeth Newcomer Gahart, age 83, of Quinton Twp., passed away Thursday, July 16th 2026 at her home.  Born in Wrightsville Beach, NC, she was the daughter of the late Col. Francis K. Newcomer, Jr. and Jacqueline Guthrie Newcomer. Before her retirement, Elizabeth worked in the accounting department of the M&M Mars Company of Hackettstown, NJ.  She was a graduate of Jeb Stuart High School, Fairfax, VA.   Elizabeth then went on to attend James Madison University and Colorado State University.  Elizabeth and her husband, Ron, raised Shetland Sheepdogs and were passionate about their Arabian horse breeding and showing program which became EliRon Arabians.  She was devoted to her mother and father as well as her great nephews and nieces.  Elizabeth dearly missed her husband, Ron. She is survived by her step-son, Russell Gahart; her brother, Francis K. Newcomer, III (Jeryl) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sisters, Mary Newcomer of Saint Ferreol, France, and Katherine Newcomer (Louis Scarano) of Pottersville, NJ; her nephews and nieces, Brent Newcomer, Heidi Newcomer and Nathan Newcomer, Rene  and Nicolas (Gantet), Clarissa (Jesse Marvin) and Laura Scarano; and several great nephews and nieces. Graveside Service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 8th 2026 at Salem County Veterans Cemetery, 719 Route 45, Pilesgrove, NJ 08098.
