Dorothy E Clancy

October 2, 1956 - September 17, 2026

A celebration of Dot’s life will be held at the Elsinboro VFW, VFW Post 253, 25 Phillips Drive, Elsinboro, NJ 08079, on November 7, 2026, from 1 to 3 pm.

Dorothy Elizabeth Clancy, age 69, passed away surrounded by family at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

Dot was born on October 2, 1956, at Salem Memorial Hospital. She attended St. Mary’s Elementary School, was a 1974 graduate of Salem High School, and attended Stockton State College. Dot held various jobs throughout her life including the Salem County Film Library; driving truck at the Island; tending bar at the Oakwood Inn and Elsinboro VFW; bus hostess for Senior tours; Mannington Mills; and Hudock’s custard stand.

Dot was a breast cancer survivor and an avid Green Bay Packers fan. She was a great storyteller, the life of the party, and kept everyone in stitches.

Dot was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Dorothy (Emmel) Clancy and nephews Patrick Clancy and Connor Clancy. She is survived by brothers Edward (Kay) and Timothy (Jen) Clancy and sister Kathy (Ron) Campbell; nephews Jason (Maylin) Campbell and Jeremy Campbell; and nieces Heather Clancy, Michele (Jeff) Vasquez, and Eileen (Romny) Volquez.
