Dominick "Doc" Anthony DiMarzio

Dominick “Doc” Anthony DiMarzio, 89, of Pennsville, NJ, passed away at his home on September 15, 2026. Born on December 3, 1936, Doc spent his 89 years loving his family, friends, and faith.

Doc worked for many years at DuPont Chambers Works, where he earned the respect of his coworkers by showing up and working hard, day in and day out. He was also a devoted parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and his faith was a steady part of who he was.

The man never sat still. Doc always had something going—usually several things at once. He grew tomatoes and peppers in the garden and loved his fig trees. He was a master of Italian cooking, making sauce, pasta, and baked goods that everyone looked forward to. He loved a good round of golf. Doc also loved the beach, and Ocean City was the place to be—surf fishing with his buddies at the crack of dawn, then spending the rest of the day enjoying time with family and friends.

Doc never met a stranger, and he would talk to anyone who would talk back. He had a smile and a sense of humor that people remembered, both of which lasted right up until the end.

Family meant everything to Doc. He is survived by his sons, Michael (wife Diane) and James (wife Monique); his daughters, Lisa (husband Jeff) and Nicol; his second wife, Gail; his stepdaughter, Tiffany; and his grandchildren, Michael, Aidan, Kristen, Evan, Elayna, and Eli.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise; his grandson, Tyler; his siblings, Rose Ellis, Jeanne Elliott, Elena (Helen) Freuler, and Frank DiMarzio; and his parents, Pietro and Angelina DiMarzio.

Doc lived a full life, and he lived it his way—with resilience, love, and a whole lot of heart. He will be missed by everyone lucky enough to have known him.
