Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Monday, May 11th in the Pittsgrove Presbyterian Church, 312 Daretown Road in Daretown, where friends are invited to visit from 12 Noon until the time of the service, where a short Masonic ceremony will take place at the beginning of the visitation. Dee Roe Williams (Dick) passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 with family at his side. DeeRoe was born May 13, 1927 to Stephen and Awa (nee McCracken) Williams in Aldine, NJ and lived in Daretown, NJ for 95 years before moving to Woolwich Gardens in 2024. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife of nearly 73 years, Jean (nee DeMoine) Williams; his brothers, Lee and Stephen (Jay); and his sons, David (survived by wife Stephanie of Lynnwood, WA) and Dale. Survivors include his sister Ann Nieukirk of Greenwich, NJ, and his daughter, Joyce Curry (Joseph) of Delran NJ. Also surviving are his grandchildren, D. Edward Williams (Ted) of New York City, NY, Alison Williams of Seattle, WA, and Shane Curry (Courtney) of Cinnaminson, NJ; and his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Jacob and Emmy Jean of Cinnaminson, NJ.

A farmer for most of his life, DeeRoe was a member of the Pittsgrove Presbyterian Church and Woodstown Masonic Lodge No. 138 where he served as Worshipful Master in 1964. In younger days he was an active member of the Daretown Fire Company, delivered Meals-On-Wheels and participated in various community activities. He served in the Army of Occupation with the U.S. Army 25th Division in Otsu and Maizuru, Japan 1946-1947. In his leisure, Dee Roe enjoyed golfing, biking and skiing and together with his wife and family enjoyed many trips to participate in those activities.

His family would like to acknowledge and thank the loving Woolwich Gardens staff who cared for him like family as well as Caring Hospice Services of South Jersey who provided supportive and compassionate care since January.
