CARNEYS POINT — Carneys Point Police Department responded to 1,124 calls for service between Aug. 1 and Aug. 31, 2026, according to the department’s monthly call-type breakdown. Ambulance assists were the single largest driver of activity, followed by motor vehicle stops. There were two arson-related calls and a shots-fired report.
The log also includes nine domestic violence calls and a handful of assaults, along with a mix of burglaries, thefts and a drug investigation, alongside the routine traffic stops, alarms and property checks that made up the bulk of the month’s activity.
As with any call log, being logged as a call for service is not the same as a criminal charge, and not every call results in an arrest or citation.
