Motorists urged to use caution and not pass crews while centerline paint is wet
Drivers in Salem County should expect crews painting road lines starting Wednesday, Nov. 4.
Salem County announced that line striping will begin that day and continue for several days, weather permitting. Crews will work on sections or the full length of 14 county roads.
The roads scheduled for striping are:
- Harmersville-Hancocks Bridge Road
- Harmersville-Pecks Corner Road
- Pecks Corner-Cohansey Road
- Kings Highway
- By-Pass Road (Mannington)
- Pointers-Auburn Road
- Hawks Bridge Road
- Pennsville-Auburn Road
- Daretown Road
- Deerfield Road
- Garden Road
- Olivet Road
- Buck Road
- Centerton Road
County officials are asking motorists to be patient and drive carefully in these areas. Drivers should not pass while striping is underway, because the centerline paint will be wet.
Drivers should also watch for road crews and equipment along the roadway. “Your cooperation helps keep everyone safe,” the county said in its notice.
