Wells W. Griscom, Jr.

June 21, 1954 - June 3, 2026

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Friday June 12th at the Laughrey Funeral Home, One North Broadway, Pennsville, New Jersey where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown, NJ 1017 Route 40, Pilesgrove, New Jersey.

Wells William Griscom, Jr., 71, of Pennsville, New Jersey, passed away on June 3, 2026 after a short illness at Inspira Medical Center – Vineland, New Jersey. Born on July 21, 1954, in Mannington, New Jersey, Wells lived a life marked by dedication to his work and a fondness for animals.

Wells graduated from Pennsville Memorial High School in 1974 and pursued further education at Salem Community College in Carneys Point, New Jersey. His career included serving as an Assistant Manager at Exxon/Mobil on I-295 in Delaware and working at various convenience stores throughout the state. His commitment to his roles reflected his strong work ethic and reliability.

A lover of animals, Wells had a particular affection for Pomeranian dogs and also cats. This passion brought him joy and companionship throughout his life.

Wells is survived by his brothers Terry L. Griscom of Elkton, Maryland and Guy M. Griscom of Pennsville, New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wells W. Griscom, Sr., and Alice L. Matthews Griscom; his brothers Frank Griscom and Thomas Griscom; and his sister Wanda Griscom Gillespie.
