A private graveside ceremony will be held with immediate family at Salem County Veterans Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be organized at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Richard’s memory to the Voorhees Animal Orphanage (419 Cooper Rd, Voorhees Township, NJ, 08043).
Richard A. Cipolone, 76, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026. Born on September 1, 1949 in Brooklawn, NJ, he was one of seven children to Paul and Cecelia Cipolone.
Although he enjoyed his large family, he also enjoyed fast cars and late nights earning the nickname the “Ghost of Second Street”. Richard always had a quick wit, charismatic personality and a kind sweet heart.
Richard graduated from Gloucester High School Class of 1966. Soon after graduation, he enlisted in the Army and served four years including a eighteen month deployment to Vietnam. The family rejoiced over Richard’s return home from the war. Richard was always so proud of the USA and the military. He was very patriotic and enjoyed giving friends tours of the Brooklawn War Memorials by the Fire House across from Brooklawn Methodist Church.
In his 20s, he began his education for chiropractic at Cleveland Chiropractic College in California and practiced there for 25 years.
Richard enjoyed the California lifestyle. However, he felt a pull to return to 13 Second Street in Brooklawn. He was a volunteer EMT for Brooklawn Fire Company.
Then came the love of Richard’s life, Lisa, whom he met in 2011, making many beautiful memories, including their love for USANA Outdoor Range, gardening, purchasing their Dodge Charger SRT, and their four legged fur babies, Rocky, Lady, Jett, Jimmy & Bob. They married in 2021, purchasing their first home together in Pittsgrove Township, NJ.
Beloved husband to Lisa and a devoted father to Samantha, John (Tiffany) and Debra. Grandfather to Sophia, Isabella, Savannah and Meadow. Siblings including Anthony (Betty), Carmen (Debbie), Paul (Jenai), Lawrence (Cheryl), Noreen (Glenn), and Karen (Peter).
Richard is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Cecelia and a brother, Paul.
