Paula Ann Picken

Paula will be laid to rest at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery, 125 Cemetery Rd., Mannington, NJ, in a private family graveside service.

Paula Ann Picken, 81, of Pedricktown, NJ, passed away on September 8, 2026. Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Paul and Evelyn (Berry) Ray, Paula moved with her family at the age of 5 to Glendora, CA where she grew up and was a graduate of Glendora High School. She attended Beauty School and worked as a hairdresser in California as well. She met Daniel Cary Picken while he was stationed at Camp Pendleton during his service with the United States Marine Corps. The two wed and moved to New Jersey where Paula worked over the years as a sales representative for Ames, John Wanamaker’s and Maidenform. Paula loved gardening and creating ceramic pots and bowls.

Paula is survived by her loving husband Dan Picken Sr., her daughter Dana Flickinger (Rich), her son Dan Picken Jr. (Michelle), four grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, her brother Tom Ray and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Vivian.
