Michael Perry Walker

October 21, 1951 - September 9, 2026

Services will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098. There will be a visitation from 10 AM to 11 AM and a chance for family and friends to celebrate Mike’s life at 11 AM.

Michael Perry Walker, age 74, of Carneys Point, NJ passed away on September 9, 2026. Born on October 21, 1951 and raised in Cumberland County, NJ, Mike was the son of the late William and Alice Walker and was a 1970 graduate of Bridgeton High School. He started his career as a welder and went on to become a truck driver, eventually starting his own business, M.W. Trucking.

In 1982, Mike married Marcia (Kesterson) Atkinson and the two moved to Carneys Point, purchasing a house together. Married for 41 years, Mike and Marcia did everything together. They enjoyed woodworking, gardening, camping, day trips to Lancaster and Cape May, visiting Longwood Gardens of which they were members and attending events at Rough and Tumble Engineers Historical Association, of which they were also members.

Mike is survived by his stepdaughter Amy Ronketty, her husband Joe and their 3 children and 2 grandchildren; his stepson Andrew Atkinson; his sister in law Susan Kesterson; his siblings William Walker, Dennis Walker, Joseph Walker and his wife Grace, Mary Sainsot and her husband Gerald and Nanette Rempfer; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Marcia Walker; his siblings Edwin Walker and his wife Nancy and David Walker and his wife Mary; his sisters in law Judy Walker, Janet Walker and Barbara Bruno; and his brother in law James Kesterson.
