Lynn Viereck Stoner

January 31, 1942 - September 11, 2026

A service will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Ashcraft Funeral Homes, 740 South Broadway, Pennsville, NJ 08070. Friends are invited to the visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with the service to follow at 12 p.m. Cemetery: East View Cemetery, 460 East Broadway, Salem, NJ 08079.

Lynn Viereck Stoner, age 84, of Carneys Point, formerly of Salem, passed away on September 11, 2026.

Lynn was born January 31, 1942, in Salem, NJ, to William and Jane Viereck. She graduated from Salem High School, class of 1959, and Davis and Elkins College, class of 1963.

Lynn was a stay-at-home mom of two daughters, Susan and Jennifer. She loved attending the theater and orchestra in Wilmington and Philadelphia, as well as local musical events. Lynn was a longtime member of Memorial Baptist Church in Salem. She volunteered for the SOC of Salem and the United Way of Salem.

She did not miss an opportunity to attend every one of her grandchildren’s competitions, sporting events, school activities, and graduations. She loved spending time walking the boardwalk in Ocean City. She also loved traveling and monthly lunches with her classmates.

Lynn was predeceased by her parents, William and Jane Viereck; her husband, Richard Stoner; and her nephew, Kevin Viereck.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan Clevinger (Gary) and Jennifer Cascaden (Rich); grandchildren, Kristina Clevinger (James Rochford), Amanda Clevinger, and Vincent Cascaden; and great-granddaughter, Aubrey Rochford. Lynn is also survived by her brother, Richard “Bud” Viereck, and sister-in-law, Danel Viereck; niece, Stacey Grimaldi; and her children, Anthony and Alexandra Grimaldi.

Lynn’s family plans to participate in the annual “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” at the Baltimore Zoo on October 24th. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the team at the link below. Our team’s name is Clevinger.
