Lisa Gonnelli, age 64, of Pennsville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026.

Lisa was a truly one-of-a-kind person whose larger-than-life personality, generous heart, outspoken nature, and fearless spirit left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She never hesitated to speak her mind, never backed down from what she believed in, and was always willing to help and give to the people around her.

Lisa graduated from high school in Haddon Township, New Jersey, as a member of the Class of 1979. Throughout her life, she worked as a bookkeeper and accountant for numerous businesses and organizations. She also had a passion for photography and was particularly fascinated by the beauty of the sky. One of her photographs of a circumhorizontal arc featured in National Geographic became especially well known and was a wonderful reflection of her love for the skies above.

Lisa found joy in nature in so many ways. She loved watching and feeding birds and took great pride in gardening. She also loved her pool, taking great care in maintaining it and enjoying every opportunity to swim in it. Lisa was also an animal lover through and through, and her dogs Athena, Sabrina, Roxee, Bella, and Tinsel brought her tremendous happiness and companionship.

Lisa also loved cooking and baking for the people she cared about. Her friends and family looked forward to the fudge and cookies she made and generously handed out during the holidays. Giving to others was simply part of who she was.

Above all, Lisa loved her family. She will be deeply missed by her two sons, Samuel Gonnelli and Joseph Gonnelli, and their father, Michael Gonnelli; her sister, Loren Andriani Baxter, and brother-in-law, Brad Baxter; her father, Leonardo Andriani, and his wife, Candy Curry; her daughters-in-law, Judy Gonnelli and Samantha Gonnelli; her beloved grandson, Carter Gonnelli; her nieces, Amanda Cessac and Sara Fesi; and her cousins and extended family.

She was predeceased by her mother, Concetta Andriani.

Lisa was never someone who could quietly blend into the background. She was unforgettable. Her presence was big, her heart was generous, and she lived life in her own unmistakable way. She will be loved, remembered, and missed every day.

In lieu of flowers, family and friends are encouraged to remember Lisa by looking up at the sky, watching the clouds, listening for the birds, spending time in nature, or simply doing something kind for someone else.
