Jane (New) Garrison

December 1, 1935 - October 5, 2026

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Olivet Cemetery, 933 Centerton Road, Pittsgrove, NJ 08318.

Jane Garrison, age 90, a life-long resident of Monroeville, NJ passed away on October 5, 2026. Born in Paulsboro, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Berry David New and Elizabeth (Smith) New and attended Paulsboro High School. Jane was a member of St. John’s R.C. Church in Paulsboro and, in her earlier years, she worked in the cafeteria at South Harrison Township Elementary School. She enjoyed cooking, baking and taking her shopping trips to Dollar General.

Jane is survived by her children Diane Hall, Curt Garrison and his wife Jane and Tom Garrison and his wife Mary; her grandchildren Marie, Michelle, Valerie (Garrett), April (Brooke), Stephanie (Sean), Amy and Michael (Michelle); her great grandchildren Blaze, Nathan, William, Marissa, Michaela, Kennedy, Chase, Madelyn, Lauren, Hadley, Mason, Wyatt, Lainey and Easton; her sister Roberta Cohen; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Howard “Duke” Garrison, Jr., her son Mike Garrison, her son in law Joe Hall, and seven siblings.
