Born in Camden, NJ, James was the son of the late Joseph and Lena Mosley.

He proudly joined the United States Army early in life, where his military service inspired a lifelong admiration for law enforcement. Following his service, he began a valiant endeavor, aspiring to work as a member of the police force. Life events placed that specific goal on hold in favor of employment that drew on his dual innate talents in baking and building construction. He managed and operated doughnut shops early in his career and later successfully built a lifelong path working predominantly independently in the construction trades, with a special focus on masonry, and brick/block laying.

James will be remembered fondly for his enormity of generosity, kindness, abilities, sheer strength, diligence, dedication, and devotion. His warmth, compassion, and willingness to lend a hand touched the lives of everyone who knew him. In later years, he especially enjoyed cooking and baking and found immense joy in sharing his talents with family and friends.

James is survived by his sons, Jim Mosley, and Mark Mosley (Betty Ann); his sister, Judy (Edward); his granddaughters, Gabrielle, and Courtney; and his great-grandson, Owen.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister, Janet; his brother, Bob; and his daughter-in-law, Arden.
