Henry "Hank" DeWitt, Jr.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, June 26th 2026 at Woodside Funeral Home, 613 Salem Quinton Rd., Salem, NJ 08079 (located in Quinton Twp.) where family and friends may visit from 10:00 AM to time of service. Contributions in Hank’s memory may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Henry “Hank” DeWitt, Jr., age 76, of Elsinboro, NJ passed away Tuesday, June 16th 2026 at his home.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Henry Sr. and Etta Joyce Betten DeWitt. Before retirement, Hank was employed as a blender for Delaware City Refinery. Hank was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1966 of Salem and a Social Member of VFW Post 253 Tilbury. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, gardening, fishing and spending winters in Florida.

Hank is survived by his wife, Susan DeWitt; his son, Kurt DeWitt (Jessica); step-children, Ryan Githens (Melissa) and Nicole Githens (Ib); brother, Kenny DeWitt and sister, Sandra McCaa; his grandchildren, Sydney, Keith (Kate), Summer, Korinne, Logan, Kyla (Khaleke), Bud Bud, Scotty, Katarina, Eden, Hannah, Kathleen, Adeline and Olivia; his great grandchildren, Jaliyah and Amia; several nieces and nephews. Hank is predeceased by his first wife, Margaret and his son, Buddy DeWitt.
