Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, May 7th in the H.T. Layton Funeral Home, 102 S. Main St., Woodstown, where friends are invited to visit from 10 AM until the time of service. Geraldine L. Beck, age 93 of Carneys Point, formerly of Sharptown, died Tuesday, April 28, 2026 in Merion Gardens Assisted Living.

Geraldine was born in Woodstown to Harry M. & Olive (Wilson) Burden, raised in Sharptown and was a 1951 graduate of Woodstown High School. She had worked for over 30 years at Richmanโ€™s Ice Cream, serving as office manager and retiring upon Richmanโ€™s closing. Following Richmanโ€™s, she worked part time for Horace Seibert at Woodstown Ice and Coal.

Geraldine loved her church and her church family. She participated in many church activities, serving as Junior Choir director and Sunday School teacher, and helping with the Strawberry Festival and other major events. She liked to knit and crochet, and she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Geraldine is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, James T. Jr. & Laura Beck; her grandchildren, Tabatha Salcedo (Steven), James Beck III (Courtney), Loretta Torrens (Brian), Duane Beck (Faith), and Amanda McGaha (Paul); 20 grandchildren with one more in the way; her brother, Harry Burden; her sister, Beatrice โ€œBeattyโ€ Snyder; her uncle, Kenny Burden, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James T. Beck Sr. in August of 1985, and her sister Bernice Wright.
