Services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of Woodstown, 117 S. Main Street, Woodstown. Family and friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM, with the service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Eglington Cemetery. Brent E. Harris, 85, of Pennsville, passed away on May 3, 2026. Born in Swedesboro and raised in Alloway, Brent was the son of the late Robert E. and Margaret (Polk) Harris.
A 1958 graduate of Woodstown High School, Brent went on to attend the Vo-Tech, where he studied drafting. He began his career with E.I. DuPont, dedicating many years of service before continuing his work with BE&K Engineering.
A man of deep faith, Brent was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Woodstown, where he served as a deacon and held several other roles over the years. He was also an active member of his community, serving on the Alloway Township School Board. Brent found great joy in visiting and collecting lighthouses and took pride in spending time tending to his garden. In recognition of his dedication and service, he was honored as “Man of the Year” by the Rotary.
Brent is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy (Foster); his daughters, Jennifer Harris and Kimberly Girtain (John Gibison); his sister, Bobett Rice; and his cherished grandchildren, Harley, Hayley, Amanda, and Brianna. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Becky Harris.
