PILESGROVE TWP. — It was a muggy early afternoon on Memorial Day 2026 around 12pm when a smaller crowd of people than normal (at least compared to previous years) gathered and held a ceremony in memory of those who had died in the line of duty. The services were at Salem County Veterans Cemetery on Route 45 in Pilesgrove Twp. To try and sum the services up in words is not quite possible, but we do hope this photo gallery provides some justice.

We wanted to thank all of those who attended and helped prepare the grounds for the annual event held at the Salem County Veterans’ Cemetery this recent Memorial Day 2026. As usual, the cemetery looked amazing and a was great representation for the pride and admiration Salem County has for its Veterans.
We at The News of Salem County want to thank all of those who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces. Most importantly on Memorial Day 2026, we wanted to remember, recognize, and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving this great country of ours.
