Local Ambulance Squad set to close doors effective November 1st, 2026. The Alloway Township Ambulance Corps started in 1954 cites the lack of volunteerism as one of the causes coupled with the high amount of training requirements and many hours that are required to run a volunteer emergency organization bringing about the end of their service effective November 1st, 2026. Alloway Township has recently entered into a shared service agreement with M.A.A.S .C to provide emergency medical services throughout the township. M.A.A.S.C already provides primary coverage for Pittsgrove Township, Upper Pittsgrove, Elmer Borough, Pilesgrove Township, Woodstown Borough, Lower Alloways Creek and Salem City. We thank each and every one of their volunteers for the many sacrifices that they have made throughout their 72 years of service.

We are working to get additional information on what to expect and how it will effect Alloway and surrounding communities. Updates to come.
