Just before noon, a fire broke out on in the area of Market Street and West Broadway in Salem City New Jersey. Firefighters were delayed due to hazardous conditions stemming from electricity at the scene. Firefighters from Salem City, Alloway, Pennsville, Elsinboro, Lower Alloways Creek brought the fire under control within an hour. Damage was limited to the building of origin. Emergency Medical Services were provided by American Legion Ambulance Association
