Deloitte appoints Paul Krieger as New Jersey Managing Partner

Industry-leading audit, consulting, tax and advisory service provider announces appointment of new NJ managing partner

Parsippany, N.J.Deloitte appointed Paul Krieger as New Jersey managing partner, according to an official press release on Tuesday January 3, 2017. Krieger, a partner in Deloitte & Touche LLP, assumed the role Dec. 1, 2016, succeeding Joe Welter, also a partner in Deloitte and Touche LLP. Welter is retiring from the organization at the end of the fiscal year in June 2017. However, Welter will continue serving clients in the audit/life sciences space until then.

In his new role, Krieger will help drive client and business growth. He also will be responsible for the strategy and direction of Deloitte activities in the New Jersey market. Additionally, he will lead community involvement initiatives, connect with various professional organizations and continue to focus on maintaining his client service and other leadership responsibilities.

“I am grateful and honored to be asked to serve our professionals and clients in the NJ market,” said Krieger. “I am looking forward to this exciting new role and to continue growing and developing our work in this region.”

Krieger joined Deloitte & Touche LLP in 1990. He was admitted to the partnership in 2002 and has led numerous large U.S. and multinational client relationships for the audit practice across the life sciences, and consumer and industrial products industries.

Furthermore, Krieger is an active member of his community, volunteering his time for various organizations, including the Children’s Specialized Hospital. He holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Rutgers University, as well as a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from Columbia University.
